Dr. Neelesh Nandan defended his PhD thesis on “Development of a Continuous Slug Flow Crystallizer for Small Organic Molecules” on 11th December 2025.
His work involved extensive experimental works on studying slug-flow crystallizer for the production of paracetamol, glycine, and ACZ:PABA cocrystal. With single-component crystals, he established the operational conditions required for the production of crystals of specific size, size distribution, and yield. He complemented his experimental results with computational results using population balance modeling (PBM) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) using ANSYS FLUENT.
In the spare time, he is an avid photographer and also loves cooking.
